Whether you’re trekking through airports, navigating train stations or across a European city, I’ve quickly learned that having a good quality suitcase is a must. A hard-shell suitcase that can stand up to the wear and tear of being thorugh around by luggage handlers, and comes with smooth wheels, will save you from the incovenience of dealing with broken suitcases. The Samsonite Freeform Hardside Suitcase has been my go to for the past couple years for checked luggage, and has outlasted any other suitcase I’ve owned. Compression packing cubes are also a great option if you tend to overpack (guilty!). One of the best Amazon travel products I’ve recently added to my routine? Apple Airtags. These tiny devices are lifesavers when it comes to keeping track of your luggage. I slip them into every suitcase, carry-on travel bag, and even my purse, just in case something gets lost in transit.
With real-time tracking, Apple Airtags are the best way to avoid the frustration of misplaced luggage, especially when airlines aren’t exactly reliable with their lost luggage updates. There have been times when my lost luggage arrived to my destination, and the airline didn’t update me for 4 days. Because of my airtags, I was able to head to the airport myself to pick it up. If you haven’t invested in these yet, consider this your sign that these are a true lifesaver.
If you’re traveling to a city known for pickpockets, skip the money belt, but be extra cautious. I recommend leaving your passport and wallet in the hotel safe, and just carrying around a photo ID and one credit card. Most places accept Apple pay these days anyways! If your accommodation doesn’t have it’s own safe, you can now buy a portable one to travel with

There’s nothing worse than your phone dying mid-flight or while you’re out exploring a new city. LONG-HAUL FLIGHT ESSENTIALS
Even with upgraded Covid cleaning procedures still in place, planes are still pretty dirty and don’t ever really get a proper cleaning. The first thing I do when I get to my seat is take out a disinfectant wipe and wipe down any surface my hands might tough throughout the flight. I recommend the peppermint scented neat wipes which can function as both a surface cleaner, but are gentle enough to use on your hands as well.
Planes are extremely dehydrating not only to your skin but to your entire body as well. To avoid this, drink as much water as possible throughout the flight. Planes these day only hand out a measly cup of water every now and then, or if you’re lucky a bottle of water. I always travel with my self-cleaning Larq water bottle, and be sure to fill them up after security, before the flight. Most airports these days have water fountains throughout the terminals with water bottle fill stations.
Plane food is heavy, unhealthy and filled with sodium. I recommend packing your own preferred snacks, or even better, giving your digestion a break and fasting for the duration of your flight. I never ever eat plane food or drink alcohol on flights to avoid that awful dehydrate, I’m not hungover but I feel hungover feeling, you can get from a long flight of salty plane food and not enough water. Throw an electrolyte packet, we love the brand Moon Juice, because of it’s clean ingredients into your purse to pour into your water bottle for a little extra hydration before landing.

STAY COMFORTABLE
When it comes to long flights, comfort is key. Most of us prefer to look chic boarding our plane and upon arrival, but who wants to be uncomfortable during a long, overnight flight? The second that seat belt sign is off, I head to the bathroom and change into a cozy lounge wear set and a pair of comfy slides. I always recommend bringing a change of clothes to change into prior to landing and a toothbrush to freshen up prior to landing.
A travel pillow with memory foam makes all the difference between arriving at your destination refreshed or feeling like a crumpled mess. Ear plugs and a face mask also help drown out any noises and overhead lighting.

In-Flight BEAUTY ROUTINE: Land Looking Fresh & Glowier Than Ever
For overnight flights especially, I recommend packing mini sizes of all of your favorite skin care to use throughout the flight. We love a hydrating cleansing balm like Clean it Zero to use before going to sleep and again when you wake up in the morning, followed by a hydrating serum like Summer Fridays CC Serum and your favorite moisturizer.
A good hydrating lip scrub and good this lux unfiltered lip balm is my go to for rehydrating lips. If you need a little extra scrub, Exfolikate by Kate Sommerville conveniently comes in travel size and leaves your skin feeling fresh after a long flight. A little lymphatic draining on your face using Gua Sha stones will help keep your face from gettnig puffy and remove any toxins from travel. Cleanse your face and put on your serums prior to Gua Sha, and the massage action will help your skin absorb your serums event more. Personally, I prefer to go makeup free on long flights, and touch up prior to landing. That way my skin doesn’t dry out and I can wash my face before applying my makeup after a long, dirty day of travel.
Another one of my tried and true favorite travel hacks to pack dry shampoo, I love Dry Bar Detox Dry Shampoo, and a teasing brush in my carry on. Prior to landing I brush in some dry shampoo and slick my hair back into a bun with a middle part.
